How to Find Out Who Actually Owns a Domain

September 9, 2022 by Cathy Leave a Comment

When you want to buy a domain of a specific website, you would want to find out the name of the owner. Thus, the next step would be to know how to find out who actually owns a domain name 3 ways. When you see who owns a domain, you can contact them and ask if the domain is up for grabs. Here are the three steps in finding out who owns a domain so you can take action right away:

Go to Domain.com

You will pretty much get all the information you need about all the domains on this website. After that, go to WHOIS Lookup and find out a bunch of information including the email of the domain owner. Without a doubt, you are going to be led to an easy path toward transferring the name of the domain. You will even get web hosting as you will first think you won’t need that information but you will eventually need it somewhere down the line when you are imagining the framework of your website.

Search on GoDaddy

It is common for everyone to look at all the possibilities of finding a new domain when you look at GoDaddy since it is the cheap destination for everyone when you are looking for a domain. The prices are unbelievably low since you can assume you should not spend too much on it. There is a good reason why this website got recommended a lot by many people as you could see it coming by a mile away. You can even build your website on GoDaddy and imagine all the possibilities depending on your niche. As you take a look at all of the templates here, it won’t be long before you see something that you would like to use. In fact, its hosting performance is pretty reliable. That’s not even mentioning the fact that it is pretty fast so you won’t be complaining too much with regards to that.

As you can see, it is easy to see who owns a domain. In fact, most domains are short as some people could get confused by long domains. When that happens, you should find ways to shorten it a bit. It is actually never hard to find out who owns a domain as it should be registered at any of the above websites so you will know right away what you are going to get from these things before everything is said and done.
