Step One: Get a WordPress Form
Start by installing and activating the WPForms plugin. Next, activate the Form Templates Pack Addon. Once you activate it, you can access the pre-built event form template and many other templates to create a customized form. You can install and activate Addon. Visit WPForms >> Add New to get a new form.
Use the setup screen and name your form. Scroll down the templates to find additional templates, type event to get the event planner template, and click on it. The WordForms will create an event planner. You will have the option to create many types of forms, and you can add a date and time to them. Now, you can install Zapier Addon.
Step Two: Develop a New Zap
Create or login to your Zapier account and find and click the Make a Zap button and you will have to set up a trigger for the zap. Create a test entry on your form from its WPForms preview page. Click on the preview and enter all the details and then click submit. Now, visit your Zapier account, choose your form from the dropdown menu, and click continue. If you have done everything correctly, you will receive a success message and click continue.
Step Three: Connect the Form to the Calendar
After linking Zapier to the WPForms plugin, you can connect the WPForms to the Google Calendar. For this, you can choose Google Calendar as the action app. Use the search bar to find and click the Google Calendar app. Now select the Create Detailed Event in the Google Calendar action and click continue. After going through this step, you will have to link Google calendar to Zapier, and you can do this by clicking connect. With this action, Zapier will allow you to access Google Calendar. When you have a couple of Google accounts, you can choose the one you want to connect to the Zapier and then sign in. Now click allow to enable Zapier to access your selected Google account.
Step Four: Set Up the Detailed Event
You can choose the Google Calendar from the dropdown menu and add the event summary. Next, you will have to fill out the description section. You can choose from fields, including email, name, message, or comment. Add each one separately, scroll down to the location section, click the address form, fill out the detailed information, and then click continue. Now access the next screen and click on Send Test to Google Calendar to add an event to the Calendar. After this step, you will receive a message with your form and know how it looks. It will have the date, time, name, address, or email. Check it, go back to the Zapier account, and click finish.
